OUGD503 Responsive: Collaborative Packaging development

PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT

As part of my roles it was my jobs to develop the packaging that all of the paraphernalia would be contained in. I started the process by researching in to different forms of packaging. In a conversation with Danielle we decided that the packaging should use a simple net, and allow the designs to speak for them selves. Fred told us the importance of impact boards for submission and how they have to be attention grabbing and sell the concept straight off. I employed the same mentality with the design of the box cover. As it is the first thing the audience will see it must be impactful and seek the message that we are trying to get across.

This is the net that i decided on. It is a simple pizza box design. The proportions of the box are big enough to fit all of our products in. The box base is A4 size as that is the biggest product that will be inside.

This is the design for the lid of the box. It sells the concept with the tag line "Changing the world through the creative minds of the young generation" The logo is also heavily featured. The stock choice for printing is whit card. The white colour really makes the colours of the logo stand out.

To add character to the inside of the box i used a full bleed image of the paper marbling. The colourful design of the box represent opening the creative potentials of the box. I think the colours will also compliment the products of the box too.
