OUGD504 Design for print: Interim crit

OUGD504
DESIGN FOR PRINT
INTERIM CRIT

FEEDBACK:

1. Watch out for a couple of 'rivers' in the paragraphs of your body copy and some spacing
more experimental with the layout is required as it will become uninteresting after a while
News print stock will compliment your leather cover

2. The layouts that combine image and text on one page do not work as there is an imbalance. Internal layout does not fit aesthetically with external appearance
Layout does not seem repetitive, just consistent and is appropriate to content
Body copy is relevant gives both contextual and informative background
consider including techniques you are focussing on, this will also allow the interior to correspond to the 'crafty' nature more.

3. You need to address your word spacing, which might mean altering copy a little, very happy in parts.

4. Love the idea of a leather cover, timeless aesthetic cover clashes with inside. Look at margins, type goes over the bottom, this ruins the point of them. Try and use some grids to make the layout more interesting

I agree with the feedback and think i need to go back to the drawing board with my design. I need to create more grids and layouts in order to get the most appropriate layout i can.
